Cork University Hospital provides a wide range of services which are at your disposal while attending the hospital. We hope this section answers any practical questions you may have about attending hospital as a visitor, inpatient or outpatient. Please click on the links on the left hand side for further information.

Acknowledging our commitment to "Caring for People", we realise that a stay in hospital however short can be a challenging time and we aim to ease any concerns you may have prior to or during your stay. We aim to give you the best possible treatment, in a clean and safe environment.  Our values focus on putting you first and making sure you are treated with dignity and respect at all times.  Our patients can be assured that staff has been carefully chosen for their expertise as well as their personal skills to deliver a warm and caring service.

We know that coming to hospital can be daunting and confusing, no matter how old you are or how many times you have been in the past.  Hospitals are big places. Please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff for help, they will be more than happy to point you in the right direction.  All of our staff wear identity badges which should be visible at all times, and will be more than happy to point you in the right direction or help you find where you need to go.

Do you have a specific individual need when you come to hospital?

Do you need an interpreter or special consideration regarding your needs?  If so, please contact the department you are visiting.
