Karen Quinn, Specialist Rheumatology Physiotherapist Karen qualified as physiotherapist from University College Dublin in 1997. She completed a masters in Coventry University in 2005. She has been working as a Clinical Specialist physiotherapist in Rheumatology in Cork University Hospital since 2006. She was Chairperson of the Irish chartered physiotherapist rheumatology clinical interest group from 2014 to 2016. | |
Ciara Cullen, Specialist MSK Physiotherapist Ciara trained graduated from UCD School of Physiotherapy and completed a masters at Trinity College Dublin .Her areas of specialist interest are management of low back and shoulder pain and patient education regarding self management. | |
Niamh Motherway, Clinical Nurse Specialist Niamh graduated from UCC in 2014 as a General and Children’s nurse. She has worked in a variety of areas throughout her career in Cork, London and Sydney including paediatric rheumatology, neurology and theatre recovery. Most recently she was a CNM1 of a day ward/ infusion unit. She has completed postgraduate studies in Healthcare Quality Improvement and looks forward to continuing to specialise in the area of Rheumatology. Her special interests include bone health and supporting patients in the self-management of their conditions. | |
Arun Augustine Kuzhuppilly, Clinical Nurse Specialist Arun trained and graduated in India in 2012. Throughout his career he has worked in various medical wards and has experience working as a staff nurse in a busy emergency department in India. Since joining CUH in 2018 he has worked as a staff nurse in the department of Neurology and in the acute medical unit. His special interests include patient education and intra-articular joint injection therapy. | |
Louise Murphy, Advanced Nurse Practitioner CUH, Adjunct Clinical Lecturer, School of Nursing and Midwifery, UCC Louise graduated from UCC in 2002 and worked as a staff nurse and clinical nurse specialist in a general/vascular surgical department until joining rheumatology in 2009. She completed a Master’s degree in Pain Science and Management in Keele University, Staffordshire in 2010 and more recently completed a second Master’s degree in Advanced Nursing Practice in UCC. Louise is a registered nurse prescriber. She has published in the areas of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and lupus. Her special interests include patient education and cardiovascular risk management in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. | |
Davida Hehir, Clinical Nurse Specialist Davida trained as a general nurse in CUH and graduated from UCC in 2009. She worked as a staff nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager 1 in a respiratory ward in CUH until joining the rheumatology team in 2018. Davida has a wealth of acute medical and respiratory disease knowledge. She completed her Post Graduate studies in medical and surgical nursing in UCC and most recently completed a Master’s degree from UCC. She is a registered nurse prescriber. Her special interests include patient education and the virtual care of patients with inflammatory arthritis. | |
Roselin George Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist Roselin trained in India and after graduating in 2008 worked in an ENT ward and a specialist dialysis unit for 2 and a half years. She travelled to Ireland and worked in a nursing home for 2 years before joining CUH in 2014 as a staff nurse. Roselin worked in the dialysis and renal ward in CUH until August 2023 when she joined the rheumatology team as a CNS. Roselin has a diploma in nursing management and her special interests include patients education and management of chronic illness and preventative care. | |
