Dr Kevin Deasy

Dr Kevin Deasy, BSc, MB, MRCPI, is a Consultant Respiratory and Cystic Fibrosis Physician. He is from Cork and graduated from the College of Medicine at University College Cork in 2014. He completed his Medicine and Respiratory Specialist Training with the Royal College of Physicians Ireland in 2023, this included experience in Critical Care and Lung Transplant Medicine at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and a 1-year Adult Cystic Fibrosis Fellowship at 3CF, Cork University Hospital. His interests include bronchiectasis, airway infection and bronchoscopy. He is an active member of the 3CF research group supporting ongoing clinical trials in addition he has taken on a lead role in the postgraduate respiratory training or our junior medical staff. and is currently completing an MD examining microbiological airway sampling techniques and the approach to bronchoscopy in Adult CF in the era of highly effective CFTR modulation.
