 The Renal Department is a large referral centre in the South of Ireland for the Specialties of Nephrology, in-centre Dialysis, Home Dialysis and Transplantation. The Department is committed to the provision of both in-patient and out-patient care and a fully integrated programme of Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) for patients with end stage kidney disease (ESKD).

The Renal Ward (4C) provides in-patient care for renal patients including bedside dialysis, while also catering for patients under other specialties including acute medicine and infectious diseases.
