Purpose of the Post
The post of CNM 2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.
The CNM 2 Clinical Facilitator in Oncology will co-ordinate and lead in the planning, implementation and provision of clinical teaching for nursing staff and for post graduate nursing students in the Oncology service.
In partnership with the CNM 3, the CNM 2 Clinical Facilitator will develop education guidelines and pathway for new staff within the wards and departments, coordinate participation and attendance to national SACT education programme. In partnership with CNM3 and NCCP, develop the NCCP SACT programme in CUH.
