Services Provided

Ward service:

The Phlebotomy service operates at ward level offering a daily blood collection for in-patients of CUH for both adult and paediatrics.

Out-Patients:

An out- patient blood collection clinic operates from St Catherine’s convent situated just outside the hospital campus. This service offer patients who attend an outpatient clinic to avail of blood tests on the day of their appointment following a consultant appointment. This service also offer appointment to services users and patient attending a consultant in CUH. This service is does not allow walk ins. An appointment must be made prior to attending.

Cedar Building: Endocrine – Diabetes:

The phlebotomy service offer a blood collection service in the Cedar building. This service is open to all patients who attend the cedar building

The Awbeg Suite:

The Awbeg suite blood room provides a service to warfarin patients and a drop in clinic for oncology haematology patients.

Paediatric Services:

Seahorse Paediatric day Unit

Seahorse paediatric clinic offer a blood collection service within the Seahorse unit. This is appointment only and for patients attending the Seahorse clinic and service.
