Professor Paul Mac Mullan

Professor Mac Mullan after initially qualifying and working as a physiotherapist, completed a graduate entry medical program at RCSI. After higher specialist training in Ireland, Professor Mac Mullan relocated to Calgary, Alberta in Canada as a Clinical Professor in 2014. Whilst in Canada he held the roles of Division Chief of Rheumatology at the University of Calgary, Site Chief for the Richmond Road Ambulatory care facility, and Provincial Medical Lead for the Alberta Ambulatory Care program. He joined the rheumatology team in CUH in 2022. His research interests include inflammation, platelet function and cardiovascular risk in addition to gout and other crystal arthropathies.
