Wound Care Education

 

Education 

Wound care has been brought to the forefront in terms of education and research. The academic pathway has evolved to masters, doctorate and to professorship level. As a major teaching hospital, Cork University Hospital (CUH) supports multiple education programmes. This ensures great opportunity for professional development. Undergraduate and post-graduate programmes are available for nursing, medicine, AHPs and Emergency Medicine Technicians (EMT’s).   In conjunction with the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing & Midwifery at University College Cork (UCC), the wound clinic facilitates the following programmes: 

  • BSc in Nursing Studies
  • Post Graduate Wound Care Module
  • Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Gerontology
  • Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Palliative Care
  • MSc (Wound Care Module in Surgical Medicine)
  • MSc (Wound Care in Obstetrics & Gynaecology)
