 | Dr. Sinead Harney, Consultant Rheumatologist Dr Harney graduated from UCG in 1994 and did her specialist training in Rheumatology and General Medicine in Dublin. She completed her training in Oxford in 2005 and then joined CUH. Her research interests include Genetics of inflammatory arthritis and occult cardiovascular disease in Rheumatoid Arthritis. She is currently the treasurer of the Irish Society of Rheumatology and a board member of the TUE committee of the Irish Sports Council. |
 | Dr. Grainne Murphy, Consultant Rheumatologist Dr Grainne Murphy MB, BCHBAO, PhD MRCPI. Dr Murphy graduated from University College Cork in 2003. Following specialist training in Rheumatology and General Medicine in Ireland she was awarded a fellowship in University College London in the UK where she undertook subspeciality training in systemic lupus erythematosus. Her special interests include SLE, Connective Tissue Diseases and Vasculitis. |
 | Dr. John Ryan, Consultant Rheumatologist Dr John Ryan MD, MRCPI. Dr Ryan is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He undertook his postgraduate training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine in Ireland and was awarded fellowship at the National Institute of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, National Institutes of Health, USA. |
 | Dr Safi Ghazi Al Qatari, Rheumatology Registrar Dr Al Qatari is an International RCPI Rheumatology Fellow. She graduated in 2009 from King Faisal University – Dammam, Saudi Arabia and is a Lecturer at University of Dammam. She completed the Saudi Board of Internal Medicine in 2014 and is currently doing her Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine at UCC. Her research interests include: inflammatory arthritis, Biological DMARDs and Exercise medicine. |

 | Dr Usman Amin, Rheumatology Registrar Dr Amin graduated in 2011 and has been working in Ireland since 2013. He has had previous rotations in UHW and St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny and now plans to specialise in Rheumatology. Area of interest: Rheumatoid Arthritis |
 | Dr Una Lannin, Specialist Registrar in Rheumatology Dr Lannin has completed rotations in numerous rheumatology departments around the country and will be with our team for the next year. We welcome her as a new addition to our team. Area of interest: Connective Tissue Diseases. |
 | Joan Swan, Clinical Nurse Specialist Joan trained as a general nurse in MUH, and as a midwife in the UK. On returning to Ireland she graduated from UCC. She then completed the Graduate Diploma in Rheumatology in UCD during 2011. More recently she became a Registered Nurse Prescriber. Her interests include health education and its effects on behaviours. |
 | Louise Murphy, Clinical Nurse Specialist Louise graduated from UCC in 2002 and worked as a staff nurse and nurse specialist in a general/vascular surgical department until joining rheumatology in 2009. Her special interests include pain management and patient education. |
 | Karen Quinn, Specialist Rheumatology Physiotherapist Karen qualified as physiotherapist from University College Dublin in 1997. She completed a masters in Coventry University in 2005. She has been working as a Clinical Specialist physiotherapist in Rheumatology in Cork University Hospital since 2006. She was Chairperson of the Irish chartered physiotherapist rheumatology clinical interest group from 2014 to 2016. |
 | Ciara Cullen, Specialist MSK Physiotherapist Ciara trained graduated from UCD School of Physiotherapy and completed a masters at Trinity College Dublin .Her areas of specialist interest are management of low back and shoulder pain and patient education regarding self management. |

 | Davida Hehir, CNS We are delighted to welcome Davida Hehir to our CNS team. Davida trained as a general nurse here in CUH and graduated from UCC in 2009. She worked as a staff nurse and most recently CNM1 in a respiratory ward. She has completed her Post Graduate studies in medical and surgical nursing in UCC. Her interests include patient education. Her knowledge of acute medicine and respiratory disease will complement our nursing skill set immensely. |
