Vasculitis Service

The Vasculitis Service at CUH treats patients with all forms of systemic vasculitis, including ANCA-associated small vessel vasculitis (Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (formerly called Wegener's granulomatosis), microscopic polyangiitis and polyarteritis nodosa), Churg-Strauss syndrome and Takayasu's arteritis.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes Physicians in Renal Medicine, Rheumatology, Respiratory Medicine, Immunology and Neurology working in collaboration with colleagues in ENT Surgery and Histopathology to diagnose patients and manage these complex diseases.

The Vasculitis Service participates in research on new treatments and diagnostic techniques in vasculitis. We work together with other colleagues interested in the field within Ireland and in Europe and are major contributors to Irish Rare Kidney Disease Biobank and Registry of the Vasculitis Rare Disease Working Group of the UK and Ireland.

We operate a dedicated multi-disciplinary clinic for patients with vasculitis.

Referrals can be made via your GP or Consultant.
