Access to Service

It is preferable where possible to arrange consultation and/or admission prior to the patient's presentation on the hospital site.If the patient almost certainly warrants admission, contact should be made with the registrar of the relative specialist area you wish to admit the patient into (applicable 9-5pm Monday -Friday) and Bed Management may then be able to work towards providing a bed for your patient.

If you are uncertain as to which specialist area the patient will fall into you should make contact with Medical Registrar on call for the AUMS for that day, he/she can be accessed through the hospital switchboard 021-4922000
