Endoscopy Unit


Our Endoscopy Unit provides a comprehensive diagnostic service to both outpatients and inpatients. The service is provided by Consultant Gastroenterologists, Colorectal Surgeons and Respiratory Medicine Physicians. The consultants are supported by a dedicated and experienced team of Endoscopy Nurses and Health Care Technicians. Our state of the art Endoscopy Unit opened in July 2015, it consists of two fully equipped procedure rooms, a recovery bay and a step down area. Our aim is to provide high quality safe patient centred care with a focus on maintaining confidentiality, dignity and respect of the individual.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 08.00-19.00 (Main Theatre on call for endoscopy after 18.00)

Access to Services

Patients can be referred via our out patient clinics, or via other Consultants in CUH. We do not have an open access endoscopy service. We are happy to take ERCP referrals from the Cork/Kerry region via fax or telephone enquiry.
