Adult & Young Endocrinology/Diabetes

 

Prof. Domhnall O'Halloran and Dr. Antoinette Tuthill, Consultants Endocrinologists lead the Diabetes/Endocrine service in Cork University Hospital and deliver high quality care for patients with endocrine and diabetic long-term conditions.

The service aims to provide a dynamic, innovative, forward-thinking and multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment and the management of diabetes.  Our clinical specialists are committed to providing support and the best standards of care to people with diabetes so that their condition is controlled as well as possible.

Access to our service is by general practitioner referral to either of the consultant medical staff named above.

 

Emergency Care

Access to the emergency service is by contact with the relevant consultants Medical Registrar through the hospital switchboard (021-4922000) Monday to Friday 9:00hrs to 17:00hrs and by contacting the registrar on call for in-house (ward) duties for the general medical take service from 17:00hrs to 09:00hrs Monday to Friday and at weekends.
