Going Home

fingerprint  Time To Leave Us

The doctor or nurse will tell you when you are ready to go home. They will also tell you your parent/carer what they have found out about your health and what may happen next and answer any questions you have.

After you go home you may need to:

  • take medicine to help you feel better
  • see a physiotherapist to help with movement
  • come back and see one of our doctors or nurses again for further check-ups.

They will send a letter to your GP to tell the about your care while you were in hospital.

They will give your parent/carer the prescription and they will explain to you what medicine you will need to take and the best time to take it.

You and your parent/carer will be told who to call if you are worried or have any questions when you get home.

It may take time for you to settle back into your normal routine and sleeping at home but that’s normal – so don’t be worried about it.
