The Emergency Department (ED) at Cork University Hospital (CUH) is the busiest ED in Ireland (c. 65,000 annual attendances) with all specialities on site. In addition to providing the full range of Adult, Paediatric, Resuscitation, Ambulatory and Observational medicine streams, it is designated nationally to provide pre-hospital support with a fully equipped rapid response car and telemedicine advice for Advanced Paramedics and ships at sea in which doctors will receive training opportunities.
