Patient Quality & Safety

Working Together To Achieve Quality

Quality and patient safety are at the core of our mission and vision. That is why, at Cork University Hospital we follow strict quality and safety practices throughout our entire hospital, monitoring our compliance with these practices and continuously seeking ways to improve.

We pledge to do our best each and every day to provide safe, high-quality care for the patients who put their trust in us.

Considerable work has been undertaken by many individuals, teams and services to progress improvements in the quality of care provided to the users of our services here at CUH. This has been undertaken mainly within the context of reducing budgets, staff moratorium and pay reductions and it is a tribute to staff that despite these factors they have continued to strive to deliver services to the highest standard possible. However it is acknowledged that there is an on-going requirement to further improve the quality and standard of care delivered to the users of our services.
