Phase Three

This is an outpatient programme of individualised monitored exercise training and education. It is held twice a week for approximately six weeks in the Cardiac Renal Centre CUH.  

Family members are also invited to attend the education sessions, which are given by our multi-disciplinary team.  

Evidence suggests that this phase is very beneficial, and patients are encouraged to attend.


Purpose of this Programme:

  • To improve health and quality of life.
  • To improve exercise tolerance.
  • To improve confidence.
  • To lower cholesterol.
  • To reduce symptoms.
  • To reduce cigarette smoking.
  • To reduce stress.
  • To aid return to work  

All patients enrolling in the programme must have an assessment, this includes a fitness test.
