The Cancer Services, Haematology and Palliative Care Division treats patients from the Cork and Kerry area and has 25 inpatient beds for medical oncology, radiation oncology and clinical haematology; five isolation beds; a Chemotherapy Day Unit with 10 treatment couches; a Haematology Day Unit with two treatment couches and a Radiation Oncology Department with four linear accelerators, a CT simulator, a simulator and a brachytherapy unit.
The Division also provides medical and radiation oncology services to patients during outreach clinics at Kerry General Hospital.
The Division is designated by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) as a centre for integrated oncology and palliative care.
Regional Cancer Centre
We are one of the eight cancer centres of the HSE National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) and one of two centres in the Southern Region. We provide cancer services predominantly to people who live in the counties of Cork, Kerry, South Tipperary, West Waterford, South East Limerick.
Our cancer services include tests to diagnose cancer, surgical cancer treatments, oncology consultations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Visit CUH Regional Cancer Centre
