National Patient Experience Survey20 April 2017
The first National survey of patients’ experience in Irish hospitals was launched on 5th April 2017 by Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD.
From the 1st May 2017, adult patients who have spent at least 24 hours in a public acute hospital, have a postal address in Ireland and are then discharged will be invited to participate in the survey.
The survey is a joint initiative by HIQA, the HSE, and the Department of health to use patients’ experience to help improve the quality of healthcare services.
