CUH planning for the Rescheduling of deferred Patient Appointments 13 February 2019
CUH deferred a large volume of outpatient and inpatient activity during the three days of the INMO Industrial action and are currently completing the process of rescheduling deferred appointments.
The CUH Executive Management Team wishes to acknowledge the professionalism of the Strike Committee assigned to CUH for the period of the industrial action and their commitment at all times in maintaining safe patient care and staff safety. They are to be commended on the manner in which they managed the process during this difficult period.
The appointments were deferred over a number of specialties as listed in Table1

To date 2,341 appointments have been rescheduled across the specialties and the remainder are currently being arranged.
Mr. T. McNamara, CEO said “this proactive initiative on the part of our administrative staff in support of their clinical colleagues is a testament to their professionalism and their care for patients. The speed with which patients whose appointments were cancelled who have received prompt revised appointments for an early date, will I hope be a source of reassurance to the public at what has been a difficult time for patients”.
