Emergency Medicine - The Emergency Department (ED) at Cork University Hospital (CUH) is the busiest ED in Ireland (c. 65,000 annual attendances) with all specialities on site.
- In addition to providing the full range of Adult, Paediatric, Resuscitation, Ambulatory and Observational medicine streams, it is designated nationally to provide pre-hospital support with a fully equipped rapid response car and telemedicine advice for Advanced Paramedics and ships at sea in which doctors will receive training opportunities.
- The ED at CUH has Ireland’s first dedicated ED Research Group which has multi-disciplinary membership and designed to execute ED and EMS research projects.
